Long Term Care
There are three main levels of long term care
Skilled Care, typically after hospitalization. Intermediate Care; transitioning to home. Custodial Care, help with daily living.
Which of the three types of care is the most common?
Custodial Care. Over 90% of care is considered skilled care.
Which of the three types of care is not covered by most insurance plans?
Custodial Care!
Medicare will only cover skilled care and some intermediate care. Medicare will only cover skilled care in full for the first 20 days of care.
