Medicare Supplements are used in conjunction with Original Medicare A & B. A provider will bill Medicare first, then Medicare will send the claim along to the insurance company.
In most states, Medicare Supplements are standardized, meaning the plan coverage will be the same between companies. The rates can be different between companies, but what is covered will be the same. The 10 standardized plans can be seen to the right.
